Thomy Jordi - Bass
He is an internationally demanded musician as undisputed master at the very deep tones.
Born in 1963 in Zurich, he starts to study double bass at the Swiss Jazz School in Bern at the age of 18. Then in 1983 he studies E-bass for another two years at the Musicians Institute of Technology in Los Angeles. Then he follows his brother to Berlin and joins the band of Joycelyn B. Smith.
His extraordinary versatility and virtuosity can be heard on more than 50 albums with projects and artists such as the Intergalactic Maidenballet, Michel Besson, Tom Cunningham, Paul Brody octet, Eudinho Soares, flamenco Nuevo, Palino, Twana Rhodes, Monkeeman, rose pride, Helge Schneider, Andreas Weyer male, Dürst Düde and many others
His list of festival concerts includes all Europe and America, Montreux, Amsterdam, Nancy, Paris, Budapest, Lugano, Vienna, Zurich, Atlanta and Houston, to name only a few.
In addition to his passion for music, he is fascinated by the culture and language of Japan. In 2009, he won the distinguished translation award in Shizuoka.
Since 2008 he is a member of Son Madol.
